TSC teachers, except intern teachers, had to file their wealth declaration online by midnight on December 31, 2025, and the sources we checked on 26 October 2026 show no 2026 window. The rules come from the Conflict of Interest Act, 2025, which replaced the Public Officer Ethics Act. This guide covers who must declare, the deadlines, what to prepare, the steps to file, and what the July 2026 salary changes are.

When is the TSC wealth declaration 2025 due?

The 2025 round ran from November 1 to December 31, 2025, for state and public officers. TSC planned to open its online portal on November 2, 2025, and said the exercise would run until December 31. This was the first round since the Conflict of Interest Act, 2025 came into force on August 19, 2025.

The deadlines below apply to officers under the new rules. Most of them are not tied to a single year, so read them as rules rather than dates to remember.

Sources give the every-other-year rule, but none of the sources we read names 2027 as the next due date. Check the TSC online portal and the official EACC site before you plan around any year.

What are the requirements for a wealth declaration?

The rules cover all state and public officers. Officers must disclose their income, assets and liabilities, along with those of their spouses and dependent children under 18. The declaration also covers income, assets and liabilities held outside Kenya, and property owned jointly with someone else.

The duty does not stop when an officer is on leave, under disciplinary action, on secondment or on an overseas assignment. It stays in force unless the Attorney General grants a specific exemption by gazette notice. Any undeclared or unexplained assets may be referred to the EACC for forfeiture, so do not leave anything out.

How to declare wealth in TSC portal?

The 2025 guide gives the steps below. Some of its details are unconfirmed, so read the notes after the list before you start.

  1. Go to the TSC online portal.
  2. Log in with your activated official email address.
  3. Enter your basic information: TSC number, contact details, place of birth, marital status, education level and home county.
  4. Enter your spouse's full name and ID, and the names and gender of each child under 18.
  5. Add the names, ID number and address of a witness.
  6. Type every money amount without commas.

  8. Watch for TSC's SMS confirming receipt, and for the copy sent to your registered email.

TSC asks teachers to log in early, because the portal gets congested near the deadline.

Two details are unconfirmed. Another guide says to log in with a TSC number and password, but we did not confirm this. Also, when we checked the official TSC online page on 26 October 2026, its menu showed no wealth declaration entry, so the portal address in the 2025 guide is not confirmed either. Check the official site before you file.

How to fill out a wealth declaration form?

We found no official TSC form to download. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission lists a Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities (DIAL) form among its statutory forms, but we have not confirmed that TSC uses it. Do not download a form from a third-party site unless the official site confirms it.

Fill in every part of the form. Income, assets and liabilities held outside Kenya, and jointly held property, must all be included, so gather those records before you start.

Plan for slow connections. Poor internet, weak ICT infrastructure and unreliable power have slowed submissions in some counties, and technical glitches have been reported at peak times. TSC offered help desks, ICT training and support teams at county and sub-county levels. We found no official instructions for what to do if the portal fails.

What is the salary increment for teachers in July 2026?

The revised TSC salary structure took effect on July 1, 2026, and the circular runs until June 30, 2027. Monthly increases go up to Sh2,055, depending on grade and salary point.

Teachers who move to the new scales keep their current incremental dates. Existing allowances are not affected by the change.

In June 2026, the TSC chair said the government had set aside Ksh8.4 billion to raise teachers' salaries from July. In July 2026, TSC warned teachers about a fake notice that claimed the increase would be delayed to August.

Two things are unconfirmed. No source gives an overall percentage for the rise, and none confirms that the July increase has reached teachers' bank accounts. For payslip steps, read how to get your TSC payslip online.
