This guide sets out what each one does, who uses it and which one you need. All details here were checked on 26 October 2026.

Which KNEC portal do I use for results?
Candidates and parents use the results checker. For the 2025 KCSE, HapaKenya's step-by-step guide says the checker sits at results.knec.ac.ke. You must accept a privacy and access notice before you search. The result then appears on screen, with an option to download a provisional result slip.

Expect a slow site on release day. The Ministry has warned that the portal may see high traffic right after an announcement. Results pages may also show nothing before the official release date, and that is normal.

KNEC's FAQ says KCPE and KCSE results cannot be viewed online. The same FAQ says results can come by SMS, using a code that KNEC provides. The 2026 guides describe only the online checker.
