Term: ____________ Year: ________Name: ______________________

1. When the portal opens

First week of term

  • Open the TPAD2 login page and sign in with your TSC Number, ID Number and password. TSC TPAD2 portal
  • If you cannot get in, use Forgot Password or First time login on the same page. TSC TPAD2 portal
  • Log in early and create your appraisal for the term. Teachers were expected to do this when TPAD was activated for Term One 2026. Education News, 2026
  • Have your scores ready by the specific learning areas you teach. From Term One 2026 teachers are asked to break scores down this way. Education News, 2026

2. Through the term

Every few weeks

  • Keep your professional records up to date as you go, rather than waiting for the deadline. Education News, 2026
  • Save often and keep a copy of anything long you type. Teachers reported slow servers, time-outs and entries that failed to save. Education News, 2026

3. Before the deadline

End of term

  • Complete and submit your appraisal, and get it countersigned. The Term Three extension period was used for exactly this. Education News, 2026
  • Heads of institutions: clear all pending appraisals within the deadline TSC gives. Education News, 2026
  • Read the latest TSC circular before you rely on a date. For Term Two 2026 the deadline moved from 14 August to 24 August, in a circular dated 18 August. Education News, 2026
  • Remember why it matters: a satisfactory TPAD appraisal is one of the requirements for teachers applying for advertised promotion grades. Education News, 2026

Questions about TPAD

Where do I log in to TPAD?
On the official TPAD2 login page of the Teachers Service Commission, tpad2.tsc.go.ke. Never enter your TSC Number, ID Number or password on any other site, and never share your password.
Is there one checklist for every term?
Yes. The steps are the same each term, so print one sheet per term and write the term and year at the top. Only the deadline changes, and TSC announces it by circular.
What if the portal will not load or will not save?
Teachers have reported slow servers and failed saves. Try again later, save as you go, and keep your own copy of what you typed. The deadline has been extended before because of system problems, so watch for the TSC circular.
Is this checklist from TSC?
No. We are not TSC. Every step is taken from the TSC TPAD2 page or a named Kenyan news report, with the source shown. For anything official, follow TSC's own notices.
